(2018-2022)

Musatemas Seminars Program

MusaTemas Seminars Program is structured to welcome researchers with high international academic and scientific recognition to present and debate topics relevant to LUC. The #MusaTemas Seminars was conceived as an event open to the external public and is available in streaming.

Between 2018 and 2022, 43 Seminars were held, initially in person but due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the seminars moved to the Webinar format. Coordination and Mediation of the seminars is carried out by President PhD Judite Primo (CeiED – ULHT).

The #MusaTemas Seminars are held within the scope of the FCT Project CEECIND/04717/2017 in partnership with the UNESCO Chair “Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity” and aim to (a) study contemporary, theoretical and practical museology; (b) understand the implications of Sociomuseology with the great transformations in civil society; (c) dialogue with professionals, professors, museologists, curators and researchers about the possibilities of making museums and museological processes more dialogic, horizontal and committed to social participation; (d) present research on innovative topics in connection with contemporary Education, Culture and Sociomuseology; (e) to encourage reflection and debate on the theory and practice of Sociomuseology. Each Seminar welcomes one/one guests and lasts an average of 2 hours, always mediated by Chairhold Judite Primo.
