Museums, cultural rights and new citizenships: towards a radical democracy, the assembly of cultural heritage within the logic of the common goods

Bogotá, Colombia between November 27 and 30.

Under the title Museums, cultural rights and new citizenships: towards a radical democracy, the assembly of cultural heritage within the logic of the commons, the academic committee of the event, composed of professors Camilo de Mello Vasconcelos, Gabriela Aidar, Mario Chagas, Mario Moutinho, Marcelle Pereira, and whoever writes to him, we wanted to summon three conceptual currents: the social museology, the studies of the cultural accessibility and the paradigm of the theory of the common goods, with the double purpose of activating the most radical tradition museological thinking, and to explore new conceptualizations of the museum, that allow to account for the great challenges that this type of cultural institution has in face of the cynical strengthening of authoritarianism, anti-democratic thinking and all the destructive forms of economic exploitation of cultural heritage.

Knowing your very significant career, we invite you to participate in this event, within the panel entitled “Agents: museums, cities and cultural commons”, which will take place on Thursday, November 29.

I remain attentive to issue any document or certification that you need in addition to this invitation to facilitate the management of the resources that allow your transfer to Bogota, between November 27 and 30 of this year.

Scientific Committee Professors Camilo de Mello Vasconcelos, Gabriela Aidar, Mário Chagas, Mário Moutinho, Marcelle Pereira, William Lopez Rosas summons three conceptual concepts: a social museology, studies on cultural acessibilidade, eo paradigm of theory two bens comuns, as a goal of Ativar a radical tradition not museological thinking and explore as nova conceptualizações do museu, which allows facing the great challenges that this cultural institution faces face emergence of authoritarianism, antidemocratic thinking and all forms of destruction including economic processes of exploration of cultural patrimony.

hacia una democracia radical, el agenciamiento del patrimonio cultural dentro de las lógicas de los bienes comunes

Bogotá, Colombia entre los días 27 y 30 de noviembre .

Bajo el título Museos, derechos culturales y nuevas ciudadanías: hacia una democracia radical, el agenciamiento del patrimonio cultural dentro de las lógicas de los bienes comunes, el comité académico del evento, integrado por los profesores Camilo de Mello Vasconcelos, Gabriela Aidar, Mario Chagas, Mario Moutinho, Marcelle Pereira, y quien le escribe, hemos querido convocar tres corrientes conceptuales: la museología social, los estudios de la accesibilidad cultural y el paradigma de la teoría de los bienes comunes, con el doble fin de activar la tradición más radical del pensamiento museológico, y de explorar nuevas conceptualizaciones del museo, que permitan dar cuenta de los grandes retos que este tipo de institución cultural tiene frente al fortalecimiento cínico del autoritarismo, del pensamiento antidemocrático y de todas las formas destructivas de expoliación económica del patrimonio cultural.

Conociendo su muy significativa trayectoria profesional, queremos invitarlo a participar en este evento, dentro del panel titulado “Los agentes: los museos, las ciudanías y los bienes comunes culturales”, que se llevará a cabo el día jueves 29 de noviembre.

Quedo atento a expedir cualquier documento o certificación que usted necesite adicionalmente a esta invitación para facilitar la gestión de los recursos que permitan su traslado a Bogotá, entre el 27 y el 30 de noviembre de este año.
